Facts: GFWC-DC formed in 2010 with just 5 members and is growing day-by-day. We currently have approximately 12 members and hold a general meeting once a month, in addition to varying events throughout the community. If not indicated below, please contact us to learn the location of our next meeting.
What We Do: Monthly service projects are the foundation of our volunteer work. Our members believe strongly in the importance of community service and encourage one another to pursue activities that promote our local community and help to improve the lives of others.
Some of the local non-profit/community organizations and GFWC Partners that our members have recently supported include: My Sister's Place, Bread for the City, Casey Trees, Ford's Theater, Shot@Life, Dupont-Kalorama Museum Consortium, Prevention of Blindness Society of Metropolitan Washington, Smithsonian Institute, Young Playwrights' Theater, Library of Congress, Turning the Page, Prevent Child Abuse America, Ronald McDonald House, and the USO.
How to Get Involved: Becomimg a member of GFWC District of Columbia Woman's Club is as easy as joining us at our next meeting or event to learn more about our growing organization and upcoming activities. We look forward to meeting you! Dues are only $30 per year.
